2-7 Triple Draw

2-7 Triple is a version of Five Card Draw Lowball. 2-7 Triple Draw is usually dealt as limit but from time to time you may find it as pot limit or no limit. The player to the left of the dealer button posts a small blind. The second player posts a big blind. 2-7 Triple Draw is usually dealt six handed. All players are dealt five cards. The goal is to get a hand that is 75432. Unlike all other games that involve a low hand straights and flushes count high and aces are also high.

The Draws

All players still in the hand after the pre draw betting have the option to draw. Player may draw zero to five cards. After all players have acted the first player still in to the left of the button has the first action. After all players have acted then there is another draw. Players may again draw zero to five cards. The action repeats and there is a third draw where players may again draw zero to five cards. In the rare event the dealer runs out of fresh cards the discards are reshuffled and used.

After all of the action has ended there is a showdown. The player with the closest hand to 75432 wins. The best hand is determined by the lowest high card. For example 85432 would lose to 76542 because the seven is lower then the eight. Once the best low hand is determined the lowest hand is pushed the pot. Like any other poker game the hand will end if someone bets at any round and there are no calls.

Rake

Online poker rooms usually take 5% up to $3 from the pot. Live poker rooms usually take 10% up to $4 or $5. Your rakeback is based on the amount of rake the house takes out of the pot. The rake is usually seen to the dealer’s right. Online you can either hover over the pot or the rake box to see how much rake was taken during a hand.
