Eurobet to Close September 30th
09/08/2011Eurobet announced today that they would cease operations and close player accounts on September 30, 2011. Eurobet has been a RakeTracker partner since our launch in 2004 when they were a member of the Party Poker Network. Currently, Eurobet is on the Ongame Network but that will change at the end of this month. Eurobet is blaming recently enacted changes in European legislation although they were not specific about the countries involved or the particular legislation.
If you are playing on Eurobet now you can move to another Ongame skin at any time between now and September 30th. We suggest Betsafe Poker as an Ongame alternative offering a similar deal. Players can receive up to 40% valueback and a 200% up to $2000 first deposit bonus that clears at a rate of 8 player points per $1.
Currently we are investigating this sudden, unexpected Eurobet announcement. When we have more details we will provide them as soon as possible.
Below is the statement made today by Eurobet that was emailed to players:
In light of recently enacted changes in European legislation, Gala Coral have decided to stop trading using the Eurobet.com name and to close www.eurobet.com at 5pm on September 30th, 2011. Our other websites remain unaffected by this decision.
We wish to advise that after this time, you will no longer be able to transact with www.eurobet.com and all accounts will be closed.
If you have funds, please rest assured that your funds will remain safe and secure in your Eurobet account at all times. However we would ask you to please make arrangements to withdraw your funds in advance of this closure date. After this time and where we have a current payment method registered on your account, we will attempt to refund any outstanding balance accordingly.
