PokerStars Road to 100 Billion
11/02/2011Believe it or not, PokerStars has dealt almost 70 Billion Hands since they first launched almost 10 years ago. PokerStars will be celebrating this momentous feat with the Road to 100 Billion promotion, where the site will mark every 5 billionth hand with special milestone hands prizes leading up to the 70th Billionth Hand. Having dealt over 69,895,000,000 billion hands, PokerStars is very close to the next milestone and has already begun to start to give away prizes.
Until a time the milestone is hit, PokerStars will be awarding cash prizes to players dealt in and/or that win each 100 millionth hand. Prizes will be determined by how much the player is playing. Each player dealt into a milestone hand will win a cash prize of $50 for every VIP Point that was earned in the previous 50 hands at that table. A player that wins the pot will get their prize doubled.
The formula will be as follows:
- Dealt into Milestone Hand: (# of VPPs in previous 50 hands x $50) + $50 = Cash Prize
- Win Milestone Hand: (# of VPPs in previous 50 hands x $50 + $50) x 2 = Cash Prize
For the Mega Milestone promotion -- hitting the 70 Billionth Hand -- all players dealt will receive a prize of $500 for every VPP earned in the previous 50 hands. The winner of the prestigious prize will receive double that amount PLUS a cool $70,000.
