Why Reload Bonuses Are Important

Poker rooms such as Minted Poker, Carbon Poker, Cake Poker and PokerStars still offer reload bonuses. There are also some other poker rooms that may offer reload bonuses on a less frequent scale. These reload bonuses are an important way to increase your bottom line as an online poker player.
There are only two online poker rooms that still allow rakeback that deduct bonuses from rakeback. Those rooms are PKR and skins of the Yatahay Network. No other poker room deducts reload bonuses from your rakeback. With all other poker rooms, you will still earn all of your rakeback in addition to your entire reload bonus. Even poker rooms that deduct bonuses from rakeback only deduct a percent of it. If you clear a bonus at PKR you will only have 30% of your bonus deducted from rakeback. At Yatahay Network poker rooms you will only lose 27% of your bonus in rakeback. This shows that a reload bonus is still extra money as you still receive at least 70% of it.
U.S. players have a bit of a dilemma because of the lack of deposit options. If the reload bonus is higher than the fees that you will pay to make a deposit then you should make the deposit for a reload bonus. One thing to consider when depositing for a reload bonus is how much of the bonus you can clear before it expires. There is no reason to deposit for a $300 bonus if you only think that you can clear $100 of it, especially if you will incur fees on the deposit method. Plan ahead how much time you will have to set aside to clear the bonus. You should also fully understand the terms of clearing the bonus. In most cases it is easy to figure out how much rake you will need to pay to clear the bonus. Take your past few month's play to decide what you typical monthly rake is and if you will have more or less time in the near future to play.
