Do not use Party Poker Refer a Friend program when you sign up as it will prevent you from receiving rakeback. You also must have $10 in your account at some point within 60 days of creating your account or Party Poker will remove you from rakeback. You can make a deposit, receive a transfer or win it in a freeroll.
Party Poker may not be the juggernaut that it once was, but they still pack a punch as a top 5 room. As a company that has been around since 1997 -- 2001 as a poker room -- and that trades on the London Stock exchange, you can be sure you will be getting a well-rounded playing experience. In 2011, Party Poker will be merging with another major player – bwin.
Most of the ring game traffic at Party Poker is at the No Limit Hold'em, Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha tables, however, they also run games for Omaha Hi/Lo and Stud. Six and ten-man SNGs are prevalent up to $200+$10 and multi-table tournament guarantees are up to $250,000. Players that haven't been to Party Poker for a while may also be surprised by the features and look of the new generation software.
Rakeback is offered as an in-house VIP program that awards up to 50% rakeback that is dependent upon how much rake in generated during a month or quarter. Party Poker also offers recurring monthly promotions that can significantly increase the returns of all players. Party Poker also boasts about awarding over $100,000 in freerolls a month along with $6 million a month in guaranteed tournaments.

Party Poker offers all the standard cash games: No Limit Hold'em, Limit Hold'em and variations of Omaha and Stud. The large majority of available games are at No Limit Hold'em, of course, but games at Pot/ Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha are also very prevalent. Stud and PL and Limit Omaha Hi/Lo are less common but participation does exist in these games.
Special Bad Beat Jackpot tables are run at limits of $0.50/$1.00-$15/$30 for Limit Hold'em and $0.10/$0.25-$2/$4 for No Limit Hold'em and represent a significant % of running games. The progressive jackpot often will be seen above $100,000.
Through Party Poker’s innovative Double Hold’em tables, players start each hand with three cards. After the flop, players will select one card as a “point card,” which will be the card used in make two hands. A player will then use whatever two card combination is strongest to make their final hand.
Like many other sites, tables with variable game speeds are offered. At "speed" tables, players will have 15 seconds to act; at "Super Speed" they will only have 10 seconds. Blinds are also automatically posted to move play along. Players will also notice "No DP" tables, which prevent players from abusing "disconnection protection" by disconnecting in cases where a player doesn't want to risk additional money into the pot and still see a showdown.

Party Poker is still very much a popular place to get your MTT fix. They offer numerous guaranteed tournaments daily, culminating with the $1 Spring Million. The premier weekly event is a $250,000 guaranteed tournament held every Sunday. Players can buy-in directly for $200+$15 or qualify via satellites for as little as $3.
WSOP and WPT satellites are common-place at Party Poker, along with satellites into the most popular guaranteed events in the world. The variety in buy-ins for their satellite entries result in wide appeal to a large group of players. Party Poker maintains that every WPT event that appears on the site will have free qualifiers.
Party Poker players can find various types of multi-table tournaments on the site such as speed, rebuy, shootouts and bounties. Beyond the popular NL Hold'em tournaments, Party Poker also offers multi-table tournaments in Limit Hold'em, Omaha Hi/Lo and PL Omaha.
Available at most multi-table tournaments is the ability to make a deal, which is very popular at live events but less widely available in online games. Deals can be initiated once all players have selected "yes" in the deal making table module on the table.

Most of Party Poker's Sit N Gos are at No Limit Hold'em tables in the 6 seat and 10 varieties, although some 20, 30 and 50 seat events can be found. Buy-ins are offered up to $5010+10, however most of the action is found at $200+$10 and below. SNGs will pop up at the higher limits helped by Party Poker's $10 max fee they put on SNGs.
SNGs are also offered at 6 and 10-seater Limit and Pot Limit Hold'em, PL Omaha, PL Omaha Hi/Lo tables and Stud and Stud Hi/Lo 8-seater tables. Most active games will be at Limit Hold'em and PL Omaha below $10+$1.
Varieties of regular SNGs include Turbo and Speed tables. Double or Nothing (DONs) are run up to $50+$5. At DON tables, players either double their buy-in or come away with nothing. These SNGs are great for players that can be effectively tight.
"Steps Challenge" SNGs allow users to buy-in to any level from $3 to $500 and turn their buy-in $2000. Steps are available at $3, $10, $30, $70, $170 and $500. The top 1-3 players --dependent upon the step-- will move on to the following step, 3-4 get to try the current step, whereas the next places either require players move down a step or drop out. Players can buy-in for any step at any time.
For those preferring to qualify for Multi-Table tournaments at Party Poker, they offer qualifiers into the Monthly Million and various other daily guaranteed events.

Example: At a $1/$2 fixed limit Hold'em game with 6 players seated and dealt cards, $0.25 in rake would be taken for each $5 in the pot up to a total of $1 in rake. Once the pot reaches $20, no further rake is taken. "5%" represents the % of the pot that is raked from the table at the time the rake is taken. Because many pots do not end up being raked (i.e. if no flop is seen) or if the pot is in between rake levels, effective rake levels are lower.
The rakeback program at Party Poker is the VIP program. Players can use their status level and earned Party Points to purchase cash and/or bonuses that closely mirrors rakeback. Party Points can be earned in real money cash games and tournaments at a rate of 2 Party Points for every $1 in dealt rate/tournament fees that a player generates. Players may use Party Points for use in the VIP store to purchase cash and bonuses or for use in select Party Point MTTs. See Party Poker rakeback page for additional details

Believe it or not, there was a time in online poker’s history that there was no such thing as rakeback. When the seeds of Rake Tracker were first planted in 2003 almost all poker rewards came in the form of bonuses. Soon players wanted more. The RakeTracker business first started small, offering rakeback to players on a one-on-one basis and through referrals.
As the business grew, RakeTracker.com was launched as one of the first full-scale rakeback providers on the internet providing players with additional perks that they could receive in addition to bonuses – payout out rakeback since 2004. Now many years later, players still flock to RakeTracker for industry leading rakeback deals, monthly poker promotions in the hundreds of thousands of dollars and top quality customer support.
All live and online card rooms take “rake” and “tournament fees” to run and operate their games. The amount of rake or fees taken will vary by game type and stake levels, but will generally be 5% of each pot for ring games and around 10% of the buy-in for tournaments.
With rakeback, players are returned a percentage of the rake that is attributed to them, usually 27%-40%. Simply put: Receiving rakeback and other promotions help winning poker players win more and losing poker players lose less. There is no reason not to get rakeback!
Getting rakeback is easy through RakeTracker: simply create a RakeTracker account, then using our referral links download the poker site’s software, add the tracker to your account and you are ready to go! Detailed instructions are available on each site’s review page.
Joining RakeTracker is FREE and easy. Creating a FREE account will give you instant access to rakeback from two dozen rooms on all major networks. RakeTracker members will also receive access to over $300,000 in monthly promotions including: Rake Races, Rake Chases, Freerolls and free poker coaching. Refer your friends to RakeTracker and earn $40 per friend and up to 4% of the rake they generate – income for life! Join the community at RakeTracker TODAY!
