WPT Poker does not offer traditional rakeback but instead provides players with a WPT Bonus VIP program that yields up to 50% in rakeback and even more when combined with additional promotions. Players can take advantage of this program by earning a designated number of WPT Points over a month or quarter. As players move up in status levels they will be able to exchange points for increasingly lucrative returns, per the chart below.

Players earn WPT Points when generating rake at a rate of 2 Points per $1 of dealt rake. This means that all players who are dealt cards will receive an equal share of the rake. Two points are earned for each $1 paid in cash game rake or tournament fees.

Once players reach the Palladium Elite status level, bonuses can be purchased at a rate of $25 for every 100 points spent. This is the equivalent of 50% WPT Poker rakeback at the highest VIP level. Players will have the choice to use their points for cash or for bonuses. Despite the fact that bonuses must be cleared, players will see larger effective returns when purchasing bonuses versus cash.

With cash, players will be given instant rewards, whereas with bonuses players will have to earn additional points. Games

WPT Poker offers a standard arsenal of games on their site, including a couple unique offerings. Standard cash games include variations of Hold’em, Omaha and Stud. Players will find a large majority of the action at the No Limit Hold’em tables, but players can also find frequent action at Pot Limit and Fixed Limit Hold’em. Since WPT Poker is on the very populated Party Gaming Network, Stud and Omaha Hi/Lo games are also occasionally available.

WPT Poker and Party Gaming have also introduced innovative Double Hold’em tables, which is Hold’em with a huge twist. Each player starts out with three cards and after the flop is dealt, players are allowed to choose one “point card” which is will be used to make two hands. At the end of the hand, the player will use the two cards that give them the best hand.

Players that seek table offerings slightly different than the standard are able to sit at “speed” and “SuperSpeed” tables. With Speed tables, players will have only 15 seconds to act and at SuperSpeed they will have only 10 seconds. This is down from the 30 seconds given at most standard tables at WPT Poker and on other sites. To further move play along at these speed tables, blinds are automatically be posted. Players will also notice “No DP” tables at WPT Poker. When seated at one of these tables, players will not receive protection if they are disconnected from a hand. Players primarily enjoy sitting at these tables to avoid players that abuse the disconnection policy.

WPT Poker Multi-Table Tournaments

WPT Poker is a great poker room for Multi-table tournament action. The site offer numerous guaranteed tournaments which culminate with the $1 million guaranteed available each quarter. The largest weekly tournament is the $250,000 guaranteed held every Sunday at 1:30 PM ET. Players can buy-in for the tournament for $200+$15 or via qualifiers for as little as $3 up to $58. A $100,000 guaranteed “Highroller” tournament is also held on Sundays; players can buy-in directly for $520.

In addition to running satellites for WPT Poker online tournaments, the site also satellites to popular live event such as the World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker. These tournaments are broadcast all over the world in many countries. Many players find these satellites as appealing ways to qualify for big money events. The World Series of Poker Main Event requires a $10,000 buy-in, for example, but players can technically qualify for only $2.

A variety of tournament styles are offered at WPT Poker, including speed, rebuy, shootouts and bounty events. At WPT Poker Shootout events, the tournaments will consist of 1-4 rounds based on the number of players to enter the tournament. The play progresses in rounds after a certain number of players are left at each table per round. After each round, players are paid and advance to the next round. The game finishes once the final round is completed.

Available at many multi-table tournaments at WPT Poker is the ability to make a deal, which is very popular at live events but less widely available in online games. Deals can be initiated once all players have selected "yes" in the deal making table module on the table. SNGs

No Limit Sit N Gos are the game of choice for Sit N Go grinders at WPT Poker. Although most tables are available with 6-10 seats, there are also some 20-50 seat events running at the lower limits. Buy-ins for WPT Poker Sit N Gos are offered all the way up to $5000. Most of the action will be seen at Sit N Gos up to $200+$10 and below. Sit N Go tournament will also pop up at higher limits more frequently than other sites because of the $10 max fee instituted on WPT Poker Sit N Gos, regardless of buy-in size.

In addition to No Limit Hold’em Sit N Gos, players can also find action at the Fixed Limit and Pot Limit Omaha tables at limits up to $10+$1. Tables are also offered at Pot Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, Stud an Stud Hi/Lo 8-seat tables. Varieties of regular Sit N Gos include Turbo and Speed tables. Example: At a $1/$2 fixed limit Hold'em game with 6 players seated and dealt cards, $0.25 in rake would be taken for each $5 in the pot up to a total of $1 in rake. Once the pot reaches $20, no further rake is taken. "5%" represents the % of the pot that is raked from the table at the time the rake is taken. Because many pots do not end up being raked (i.e. if no flop is seen) or if the pot is in between rake levels, effective rake levels are lower.

WPT Poker VIP Program

WPT Poker does not offer rakeback, but the way the VIP program works makes it very “rakeback-like.” Players qualifying for the VIP program, which is done by accumulating WPT Points will receive the ability to exchange their earned points for cash and bonuses to receive the equivalent of up to 50% in rakeback. The higher players move up in status levels at WPT Poker, the greater the effective return will be for players.

Players are given the choice of purchasing bonuses or cash. The primary benefit of purchasing cash is that players will receive the reward right away. Players purchasing a bonus will be required to earn points to be able to withdraw the bonus, but players will see total returns when choosing a bonus. Leaderboards are for all eligible SNGs and MTTs. Leaderboard position is determined by performance in these SNGS and MTTs using a formula that consists of buy-in. Freerolls are not eligible. Players will be paid within 24 hours of the leaderboard end date.

$1,500 New Player Freeroll

New players registering for WPT Poker will be able to take part in a $1,500 New Player Freerol that will be held each Saturday at 2 PM ET. Players can enter as many New Player freerolls as they like within 60 days of making their first deposit. Otherwise, there are no requirements to enter. A maximium number of 5000 seats are available for each freeroll.

Each Saturday, WPT Poker will be giving away 50 seats to their $300,000 guaranteed tournament each Sunday. Players can qualify for free by participating in one of WPT Poker’s daily country-country specific freerolls, where the top 10 players will receive an entry to this qualifying event.

County Freerolls

WPT Poker runs almost a dozen daily “Country Specific” freerolls throughout the day. Special country freerolls are catered towards Germans, Eastern Europeans, Nordic countries, UK and Ireland, Western Europe and the Americas. Prizes range from satellite entries to $150 in cash.
