Earlier in the week, it was announced that Party Poker would be joining forces with bwin during the first quarter of 2011 to form the largest online gambling company, and very possibly the largest online poker network, in Europe. Many details still need to be ironed out about how this affects poker players from both sites, but many players are optimistic about what this means for quality of play and promotions.

Rewinding to the present, August looks to be an eventful month for Rake Tracker's Party Poker players. Not only is Party Poker running their Full House of Promotions during August, but Rake Tracker is also offering a humongous $50,000 Points Race for our players during the month. The $50,000 Rake Race, which players are automatically eligible for if they have signed up through Rake Tracker, will pay the top 400 Party Point earners with cash prizes of $10 to $5,000 depending on your position in the race. Party Points are earned according to the rake that players generate -- two Party Points for every $1 in cash game rake or tournament fees.

That's not the only special Party Poker promotion we are running this month. New players that sign-up for Party Poker during August are eligible for a Rake Tracker $5,000 Bronze Freeroll. The only requirement to enter is that a player must generate 1 Party Point during the month; existing players can qualify by generating 100 Party Points, the equivalent of generating $50 in rake. In addition to these freerolls, we are also offering a $10,000 Gold Freeroll for the top 25 Party Point earners during the month. The top 50 Point earners -- including those qualify for the Gold Freeroll -- will receive access to a $5,000 Silver freeroll. The Gold and Silver freerolls will both pay the top 10 players in each tournament.

Party Poker is offering their own exciting promotions during the month, as part of the Full House promotion, where $350,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded during the month. The featured promotion is the Full House $100,000 Grand Final. Each week, players can claim a seat in the weekly Full House $10,000 freeroll by earning at least one Party Point during three separate days during the week. Do it again during another week in August, and not only will you qualify for another $10,000 weekly freeroll, but you will receive access to the $100,000 final.

Cash game players are also eligible to participate in the $50,000 Cash Game Race, held from August 2nd to August 22nd, exclusively for Bronze, Silver and Gold VIP players (not to be confused with the Rake Tracker freerolls of the same name). The top 500 Bronze, Silver and Gold status players will be paid cash prizes of $10 to $3,000.

Sit N Go players: don't feel left out -- there is also a promotion for you. Party Poker will be giving away $160,000 in cash prizes to players that that manage to win five single table tournaments in a row. There jackpots will be divided by buy-in size: $50,000 Gold Jackpot for players that play SNGs with buy-in of $55 or more (one prize available); $20,000 Silver Jackpot for players that play SNGs with a buy-in of $12 to $54 (three prizes available); and a $10,000 Bronze Jackpot for players that play SNGs with buy-ins ranging from $3 to $11 (five prizes available). Make sure to contact Party Poker immediately if you win five Sit N Gos in a row within a jackpot level.

As you can see, it's truly a great month to play at Party Poker this month. If you are a new player at Party Poker, you are also eligible for a 100% up to $500 sign-up bonus that will clear at the equivalent of a 25% loyalty rate.
