PKR Launches Software Version 2.0
08/10/2010PKR, home of the greatest 3D poker software, has released the newest version of their video-game like platform. The new features cover a wide variety of areas including the way multi-tabling is handled, and tweaks to the table, tournament and lobby views.
PKR players who wish to play multiple tables can now play more than four tables simultaneously via the new Multitable view, which is a toned down version of the table play that doesn't include avatars. In addition, other elements of the tables are enlarged. As an alternative, players can view tables in single view and switch tables using the F keys or by clicking on the horizontal title bar at the top of each table. PKR suggests that any player wishing to play two or more tables choose Multitable View from the Interface Menu, move the chat box text slider to maximum and minimize at table information boxes or uncheck selected information to reduce the box size.
The new lobby contains a new game filtering system, which will allow players to view tables by game, structure, stake levels, seats, favorite tables or recently played tables. Other features include a Favorites section, a highlighting of tables that PKR pros are playing on, direct seating from the lobby and a Game Finder.
The table view has also been updated. National flags are available in the call out bar along side player names. Players can now adjust the size of all interface boxes -- minus the chat -- by moving the slider located in the Interface menu. Action buttons now include a bar indicating the size of your stack being called, bet or raised. The information panel can now be customized and there has been added space for player notes. Smileys and expanded chat filters are also new at this release.
Finally, enhancements in the tournament lobby view have also been made. Players can now sort a tournament player list by players on your Friends list. Icons have been added in the lobby to help identify a type of tournament offered. Information panels to the tournament windows can also now be customized and a full tournament lobby is available using the info tab arrows on the left side of tournament tables.
