Bet Safe October Races
10/07/2010It's not too late to get involved in Bet Safe's October Races where this month they will be awarding $100,000 in cash prizes. The leaderboards will be divided into two leaderboards, one each for cash games and for tournaments. The cash game race will award the top 300 players and the tournament race will award the top 200 players.
Player Points are used to determine the Race standings. Player Points are earned at a rate of 5 Player Points per $1 in tournaments fees and 3.25 per $1 of rake in cash games, with an additional adjustment made based on skill level. In the Tournament Race, prizes vary between a $50 prize for 151st to 200th place up to $2,500 for first. The Cash Race will award $50 for 251st to 300th up to $3,000 for first.
The top 200 players from each race will also be eligible for a freeroll entry to the GSOP Live Malta. The higher you finish in the leaderboard, the fewer players that you will have to compete against for a freeroll entry. Players finishing 1st to 10th on each leaderboard will enter a freeroll where a $3,000 GSOP Live Malta package will be given away. Players finishing 11th to 100th will battle it out for two $3,000 packages; players finishing 101st to 200th will enter a separate freeroll for two additional packages.
New players signing up at Bet Safe through Rake Tracker are eligible to participate in a sign-up bonus up to $2,000. Players have five options; all bonuses release at a rate of 8 Player points per $1 of bonus money. Bonuses clear at a rate of 62% valueback at tournaments and 41% at cash games, although an adjustment is made on the points players earn at cash games based on skill level. Players may also participate in the VIP program which awards up to 40% in extra valuback.
