Poker Stars VIP Changes
12/31/2009Poker Stars will make several changes to their VIP Program in 2010. The most notable change is how FPPs are earned. Starting in 2010 tournaments will pay 5.5 FPPs per $1 in tournament fees. Also cash game tables with 8 or more seats will earn 6 FPPs per $1 rake divided by the number of dealt players. For example if the rake was $1 and 9 players were dealt each player would receive .66 FPPs. In games where there are fewer than 8 seats then 5.5 FPPS will be awarded for every $1 rake. The FPPs will also be divided among all dealt players at those tables. Another notable change is that it now only takes 750 FPPs in a month to become SilverStar. In 2009 that number was 1200. Now that Poker Stars offers a new and improved VIP Program and a 100% up to $600 first deposit bonus there has never been a better time to sign up.
