Ongame Changing Points System On November 24th
11/14/2011The Ongame Network will be tweaking how Player Points are earned starting on November 24th. As of this date, players at both ring games and tournaments will earn 3.6 Player Points per $1 of contributed rake. Points at ring games will continue to be adjusted according to the Essence system. This change affects players at all Ongame rooms and includes Coral Poker and Betsafe Poker.
This change will have a positive impact on ring game players while being a negative for tournament players. Under the old system of 3.25 Player Points per $1 for ring game players and 5 per $1 at tournaments, a player would earn the equivalent of 40% or 63% valueback, respectively, when clearing an 8x sign-up bonus. With the new system, all players will earn the equivalent of 45% valueback when clearing a standard bonus.
